Initally attracted to the Core i5 processor and the 4 gigs of RAM, I was pleasantly surprised with the discounted price at the time. As a somewhat serious computer user – student, small business owner, amateur photographer – I needed something that was affordable, relatively fast, and superbly reliable. Acer has absolutely come through with this one. The only real complaint I have is that the track pad lacks clear definition, so accidental cursor misplacement is common during the acquaintance phase of owning a new machine. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Intel has done an excellent job with their Core series processors, and Acer’s fabrication leaves little to complain about. An excellent (and hearty – it has stood up to quite a bit of abuse already in the short time I’ve owned it,) laptop, suitable for just about anyone who is looking for quality within a budget. Easy to use out of the box, but also easily customizable for those of us who are a bit more discriminating in how we want things to work.

This is a great Laptop. It has everything I need: a 15.6″ HD display, a really fast processor…It’s the best Laptop you can find for this price

I purchased this laptop from amazon in may. After installing the oem software wireless doesn’t work. It sees the network but can’t connect. I installed a USB wifi and this works fine. I came 10 inch from a router and it worked on the internal. So i openend the bottom hatch and seen the antenna(white) loose from the wificard connector. After connection no problem anymore. Well i thought so.. After 12 days the unit stalls on touchpad, and later on keypad. No more startup. Only Bios. After contacting Acer(hard to get and very poor service)all the trying this guy gave made the unit totally dead. Only the blue power button lites up….

Unit has now been sent to Texas repair center…Hope for the best….

Maybe Amazone needs to pack the shipment better. It came in standard Acer package.

And box was showing dents and ripples. But still the unit worked for 12 days….

And all was blazing fast compared to my old celeron. Nice screen and design.

I have 3 other acers and all are good….

I purchased this for schoolwork, e-mail, and online gaming; it is terrific at everything! My 2002 Sager Notebook finally ‘gave up the ghost’, and I liked how Acers keep a level of quality without all the cost of Macs, Dells, etc. I looked at Toshibas too, but I’ve had good experience with Acers so far. The keyboard is complete and not cramped like other laptops… huge plus!

It is longer and thin compared to my last laptop, so i had to get a nice, new bag, big whoop. I’m a diehard fan of Windows XP, but 7 seems to have it together A LOT more than Vista, so I figured I should learn how to use it before XP support stops; Windows 7 hasn’t let me down yet!

No complaints, everything works great so far, battery life is decent, light and easy to carry, I’d buy another one without hesitation.
