This set got me plenty of room for 10 days worth of clothes, and the “tow strap” arrangement made getting the bags from the terminal to the parking lot a lot less ackward.
The zip in over the tow handle is a nice amenity, it prevents the handle from accidentally getting out and mauled in a cargo hold.
I just received my bags and will use them for a trip I’m taking in two days. So far, the quality seems much better than I expected for a 4-piece set of luggage at this cost. Some reviewers complained about the bags not being up to Samsonite standards but when you’re getting 2 suitcases, a duffel and a toiletry kit for this price, it just can’t be beat.
***UPDATE–March 18-22, 2010***took the 21″ (small roller bag) on my trip to Florida and the bag was fantastic!!! I had connecting flights on my departure and return and both flights were full so the bag received a lot of handling. This inexpensive Samsonite is light-weight, the handle is a perfect length for my 5′6″ height, the wheels rolled smoothly, the zippers were smooth, and the bag fit perfectly into the overhead bin of the aircraft (and that’s with the suitcase being crammed full). This really is an exceptional deal from Samsonite.
The bags were great and arrived very fast! This is a great company to buy from. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because the carry on bag is a little smaller than I thought it would be and the bags were not as thick as i thought they would be. A great product for the money.
I’ve had this luggage set for about 3 years. I almost exclusively used the 22″ for carry-on and checked baggage. It survived about 50 flights, baggage handlers, being drop kicked through subway turnstiles, thrown in the back of cars, under bus holds, down stairs…you name it.
I just ordered my second set of the same luggage because the poor 22″ couldn’t take any more – the handle jammed & it was cheaper and less of a hassle to replace the set than to get one handle fixed. I can’t recommend this enough. I’m really hard on my luggage and this set is well-built. I’m very impressed at how well it holds up for a soft side case & for the low price.

the suitcases were well packaged and sent on time. Little bit smaller than I have thought before, but with the price I paid this was a good deal
